Interests

I’ve got a bunch of interests, but most of them stem from my long-term focus on science and technology. Right now, I am predominantly a computer scientist, so I have a number of projects that I work on in that area. I try and stay on top of OOP methodology developments, wireless and enterprise resource/integration, but all is grist for my mill (!)

Take a look at some of the stuff that’s caught my eye recently.

  • warchalkingGreat concept, doesn’t seem to be taking off too quickly.I liked it so much though, I created a Visio warchalking template for those who want to hit the ground running. Get it here. I’ve continued my investigations into warchalking, wardriving, etc..and decided to log my adventures in this PT-Wardriving section.

  • Mikmod/Java I’ve always been very into computer-generated music, midi, mods and mp3, etc. The original developer of Mikmod/Java, Shlomi Fish, has given me permission to add additional support and modules to his offerings. I’ve started by adding a JavaSound/JMF compatibility driver to MikMod/Java. A zip of the updated version is available here. To make it work, you need to download the Java Media Framework from Sun.

  • Migration to Linux – The focus of this page is my various Linux activities and research. Linux is an open source operating system developed by Linus Torvalds, which runs on a variety of hardware platforms.
